If you were directed to this blog, it either because you are in my class and needed to check it out, or because you were bored and decided to check this out after I kindly asked.
After all, blogs are supposed to be read, right?
The point of this blog is to take a critical take on subjects/ideas we deem a part of "Popular Culture." To me, "Popular Culture" is something created by the people, the consumers. "Popular Culture" is not only something that is currently trending or known in the overall population, but also something that is loyally followed and has a crowd of its own. In the end, it comes down to our own individual interests that creates "Popular Culture."
Whether I like the subject or not, my job is to see how everything deems itself into Pop Culture. Because I plan on looking at a variety of things, this blog will be random in itself.
So I hope you follow me as I look at superhero movies, vampire drama, magical wizards, half-gods, and more in books, movies, television, etc. You can agree, disagree, like, dislike what I have to say in a (hopefully) critical way.
But frankly my dear? I don't give a damn as long as you can do me a favor and at least try reading this blog :)
I like your play on words with the word read and the color of the text. And I'm surprised you didn't mention Disney in this "Pop Culture" blog. So disappointed Kristina...
